"Ebrewkhait" comes from a cherished Lebanese tradition. The phrase "needle and thread" was a common saying in our home, whenever someone needed their clothes mended. We kept our sewing kit in a round, metal biscuit tin, a familiar sight in many Lebanese households. This inspired the name for my company and website, symbolizing the generations of artisans who have passed down their craft. My late mother, who was the first teacher of embroidery and sewing in our family, had a profound influence on me. She could create beautiful gowns from nothing, a skill she inherited from her mother and grandmother. Today, as the owner of "Ebrewkhait," I proudly carry on this tradition, designing and creating Lebanese folkloric clothing and abayas. Through this work, we preserve the beauty of our heritage, one stitch at a time.
